- The dash light is on but it runs fine — is it urgent?
- It depends which fault it is. Some derate the machine or begin a countdown to it; others are advisory. Reading the code tells you which, and the read is quick enough to be worth doing before you plan around it.
- Do you diagnose before quoting?
- Yes. Quoting before knowing the cause is quoting a guess, and the same symptom can have several causes at very different costs. You hear the finding before work is authorised.
- Can you read my make of machine?
- Ask — coverage is a question about specific makes and model years rather than a general answer, and checking first is better than a machine arriving we cannot read.
